Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist the priest, deacon and assembly during parish liturgical celebrations. This is an important ministry both of prayer and service. Servers are called to be special, visible models of a prayerful spirit at Mass. Altar Servers must be registered members of the St. Leo Parish community and must have received their First Holy Communion. For more information contact the office at 992-0901.

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion commit to serving the Body and Blood of our Lord during the mass. Extraordinary Ministers are formed into “teams” and are generally scheduled to serve every three weeks. To become an Extraordinary Minister of Communion, you must be a registered member of St. Leo Parish and be fully initiated in the Church. Candidates for this ministry will receive appropriate training and be commissioned. For more information please contact Br. Greeters
The role of greeter includes the welcoming of parishioners and visitors and ensuring of their comfort at St. Leo Parish. The greeters are available to answer questions about the church and direct parishioners and guests as needed. For more information please contact Betty Steils at 498-0769.
Liturgical Environment Committee
Our Liturgical Environment Committee is responsible for providing a liturgically correct and spiritually uplifting environment for our parish community. The space which we worship in is a holy space; our liturgical environment committee strives to make it beautiful while emphasizing the liturgical theme of the Church season.

Readers
Serving as a reader is a unique opportunity to deepen one’s own faith through prayer and preparation and to communicate that faith by making the Word of God come alive for the assembly. A reader is expected to: be a registered parishioner who is in full Communion with the Catholic Church, be a responsible adult or young adult, be committed to the Ministry of the Word, have good reading skills, believe and understand what they read, have a spirit of humility and service, practice what they read, be punctual when scheduled and improve through training and workshops. Music
The choirs and cantors at St. Leo the Great seek to add beauty and solemnity to the liturgy, and to encourage the participation of the congregation.
ADULT CHOIR: The adult choir currently sings at the 3:30 PM Saturday Mass. Anyone interested in singing in the choir or playing an instrument is asked to call the music director. It is very important to attend the weekly rehearsals which are Thursdays at 3:00 PM in the church. New members may join at any time and seasonal members are most welcome.
INSTRUMENTALISTS: St. Leo is always in need of additional instrumentalists to enhance our weekly and special liturgies. Please contact the music director is you have instrumental abilities and interest.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR: The St. Leo Children's Choir is a program for St. Leo parishioners ages 8-12.
The program is administered by Ms. Hilary Bowman. Ms. Bowman is a music educator for the Collier County School System and has experience as both a director and accompanist for children's choirs.
The goal of the program is to sing thanks and praise to God while developing self-confidence and fostering team spirit. Our youth will have fun while learning to take an active role in assisting our faith community in song.

Sacristans
The responsibility of the sacristans is to ensure that parishioners have available to them a clean, comfortable and peaceful atmosphere in which to worship. The sacristan is cognizant of the needs of both the priest and ministers and has materials readily available to assist in their ministry and provide a fulfilling worship experience for the parish community. Ushers
The role of usher includes the seating of parishioners and visitors, directing them at Communion time, helping the handicapped feel more comfortable and facilitating the offertory collections. For more information please contact Frank Micelle at 992-0901.
